

Bob was born on May 21, 1948, and survived by his wife, Pam Howard. Because of his faith, he is now at home in heaven. Celebration of life will be held at the family cabin in West Virginia at a later date. Bob was born in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Eleanor Barrick Howard Patton and James M. Howard. He first attended Pullman Grade School. He graduated from Harrisville High School with the class of 1966. He began college at Marshall University in Huntington, WV, receiving an Associate Degree in Cytotechnology before transferring to West Virginia University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy in 1974. Upon graduation, he continued to work as a retail pharmacist with Thrift Drug until 1990 when he and his family moved to Fort Collins, CO. At that time, he began working with Safeway Pharmacy until his retirement in 2017. He worked in Ft. Collins, Greeley, and Loveland.
In addition to his loving wife of 54 years, they had two children: Chris Howard (Barb), Greensboro Bend, VT and Michelle Wright (Randy), Ft. Collins, CO., his brother, John (Carol) Howard of Owego, N.Y.; half siblings, Joe Howard and Joy Conrad; his grandchildren, Chase Howard, Isaac Nyquist, Ashley Nyquist, Todd Howard, and Joe Howard and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Justin Howard, sister Bettie Ann (Leyland) Hayhurst, brother, Bill Howard, sister, Donna Jean (John) Koehnlein; stepfather, Dan Patton, stepmother, Helen Howard, stepbrothers, Bob Patton and Bill Patton.
While in West Virginia, he attended St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and while in Colorado, he attended Redeemer Lutheran Church where he connected with many dear friends. He was a Master Mason of The Grand Lodge of Vienna, WV, #172 and a past member of the Pilots Association. Celebration of life will be held at the family cabin in West Virginia at a later date. The family appreciates the care and professionalism of all the staff of the Medical Center of the Rockies. He felt that he was always in good hands and was treated with dignity.
