He was born on January 27, 1943 to John and Alvina Socolofsky in Gregory, South Dakota, and lived in Fort Collins, Colorado all of his life.
He graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1963 and worked for Woodward Governor for many years. He enjoyed fishing, when his health permitted, and putting model airplanes together in his retirement years.
He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Socolofsky of Glendo, Wyoming and Elizabeth Socolofsky of Fort Collins, Colorado; sister, Sharon (Dennis) Fiedler of Beatrice, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Natasha Ortiz, Adam Socolofsky, and Kaden Orback; and special friends, Gary and Darlene Dale of Fort Collins; and his faithful dog, Smokey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Cheryl.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 11:00 am at Resthaven Funeral Home, 8246 S. Highway 287; Fort Collins, CO 80525.
