

Ruth Lust, 87, of Fort Collins, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009 in Fort Collins. She was born September 20, 1921 to Charles and Wilhelmina (Deroos) Vanderpyle in Paterson, New Jersey.Ruth married Joseph A. Lust on May 9, 1941 in Paterson, NJ. She lived in Port Richie, Florida for 18 years before moving to Estes Park where she resided for 16 years. In 2003, she moved to Fort Collins. Ruth had worked for Kodak while in New Jersey and was a homemaker. She was an active member of United Methodist Church in Estes Park. She was in the Christian Women's Club for 30 years and she became a Stephen Minister in 1989. She was also a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Ruth was a member of the ""Villager's"" and Merry Martha's while she was in Estes Park. Ruth enjoyed crocheting, bowling, playing yatzee, and shooting pool at the Estes Park Senior Center. She loved spending time with her family. Ruth is survived by her sons, Tom Lust and wife Linda of Chincoteague, VA and Bob Lust and wife Michelle of Holiday, FL; her daughter, Nancy Osborn and husband Ron of Fort Collins; her sister, Dorothy Rapp of North Haledon, NJ; her sister-in-law, Helen Lust of Lafayette, NJ; and 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Fort Collins Good Samaritan Community Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Collins Good Samaritan or Pathways Hospice in care of Resthaven Funeral Home.
