He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Nino worked as the top maintenance painter AT CSU for over twenty years until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion and also worked at American Bank popping popcorn. Nino was an avid fisherman; he also enjoyed hunting, playing guitar, and dancing with his wife. He was a friend to many and knew no strangers.
Nino is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, his beloved wife, Betty Garcia, two sons; Carl and Alvin Garcia, his infant daughter, Carol Garcia and one granddaughter, Chanelle.
He is survived by five children; Robert Garcia, Ron Garcia, Rich (Sandy) Garcia, Pearl Davenport and Sally Garcia, eight grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
A rosary service will be held on Wednesday, November 18 at 10:45 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S. HWY 287, Fort Collins. Graveside service and pot luck reception will follow at Resthaven.
