Thomas Eugene Little

Thomas Eugene Little was born April 6, 1943 in Glenwood Springs, CO to Eugene Emery Little and Helen Edna (Drake) Little. As a vocational agriculture teacher’s son, the family frequently moved, finally settling in the Fort Collins area in 1946. Tom graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1962. Tom and Judy Mae Robbs were married in 1967. Two children were born to that marriage: Russell Eugene Little in 1969 and Karyn Ann Little in 1970.

Tom worked on the family farm, and in the oil field, welding, plumbing, and construction industries. Tom was remarried to Janet Elaine Dawson (Austin) on May 29, 1992.

Tom started his favorite hobby in the mid 1980’s by allowing hives to be set on the farm. Very quickly the bees became his passion for life; and Little Honey Company was started. Numerous members of the family spent countless hours building hive boxes, tending to the hives, and harvesting honey.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Janet Little; his sister, Mary Anne Morton; his two children, Russell Little and Karyn Little; three step-children, Martin Eugene Dawson, Mitchel Stewart Dawson, and Devani Renee (Dawson) Eckhardt; grandchildren, Nathaniel Little, Kelsey Little, Kendra Little, Glenn Dawson, Andrew Dawson, Padon Eckhardt, Morgan Eckhardt; extended family members and numerous friends.

Visitation will be held 1-2 pm Tuesday, followed by a 2 pm Funeral Service at Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment Resthaven Memory Gardens.
