

Bill was born in Adair, OK, October 29, 1923 and passed away at McKee Medical Center January 21, 2012. He graduated from Norwood H.S., Norwood, CO and from Grand Junction Business School. He was drafted into the U.S. Army soon after the beginning of WWII. He attended CSU for 3 ½ years and graduated from the University of Washington. Bill remained active in some form of the Military for 36 years, retiring as a Major in the U.S. Air Force. He worked in construction, was a resident Engineer at the Climax Molybdenum Co., near Leadville. He retired from the City and County of Denver.
Bill was a charter member of the Pipe Band of El Jebel Shrine, playing the bagpipes for nearly 40 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, who spent 20 years as a National Ski Patrolman. He enjoyed all sports, as well as bow hunting, fly fishing and camping with his sons, other family members and friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, James Riley Sullivan and Ella Mae Kinion, his brother, Douglas, and an infant sister. He is survived by Beverly, his wife of 62 years; sons, Patrick K. and Kelly M. (Carol), both of Fort Collins; a daughter, Erin Korby Sullivan of Denver; granddaughter, Ashley Sullivan of Fort Collins; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 10am – 12 pm Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Faith Evangelical Free Church, 3920 S. Shields in Fort Collins, followed by a Funeral Service at 12 noon. A reception will immediately follow the service. Interment with Military Honors will be held at 3 pm at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 8426 S Hwy 287 in Fort Collins.
