Yuzo Hayashi, 86, of Loveland died on March 30, 2015 at McKee Medical Center. He was born December 16, 1928 in Honolulu, HI, to Benzo and Haruko Hayashi. He attended the Hawaiian Mission Academy and Colorado State University. Yuzo joined the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He married Alice Yun on December 23, 1958 in Colorado Springs, CO. He was a lab technician and resided in Loveland since 1966. He enjoyed golfing and loved to sing. Jazz music was his favorite. He read his Bible every day and prayed persistently.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Alice C.Y. Hayashi of Loveland; son, Brad (Toni) Berton Hayashi of Tucson, AZ; daughter, Karen (Darrell) Roth of Windsor; sister, Alison Hayashi of California; grandchildren, Michelle (Sebastian) Nava, Mitch (Ashley) Hayashi, Derek Hayashi, Ruthie Hayashi, Benjamin Roth and Samuel Roth.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at Resthaven Funeral Home. Inurnment Resthaven Memory Gardens. A reception will follow in the Resthaven Reception Center. Family and friends may view the online obituary and sign the guestbook at www.resthavencolorado.com.
