Andrew McClugage Duncan 1971-2012. There was a touch of Ferris Buehler in Andrew, and he charmed many. But a 1991 auto accident left him paralyzed, blind, and mute. From being a bright, athletic 19 year-old, he became an invalid who could only feel and hear. He expired February 20,2012 from pneumonia and cancer, finally finishing the dying process that began 20 years earlier. Son of James and Kathryn Duncan, younger brother to Jim and Mike, Andrew grew up in Buena Park and Fullerton, attending Emery School, Buena Park Junior High School, and Fullerton College. He became a fine tennis player at Sunny Hills Racquet Club and treasured time spent on his skateboard. Most of his last 20 years were spent as an appreciative resident of Angel View in the Palm Springs area. Funeral services were held 02/27 at St. Philip Benizi in Fullerton, the church where he was baptized and confirmed. The family prefers that any memorials go to Angel View (angelview.org) or St. Philip Benizi Parish(benizi.us/) or St. Joseph's Hospice Care (sjo.org)
