Baby Manuel Hernandez Jr.

Born on January 19, 1968, in El Paso, TX, Baby was the beloved son of Manuel and Maria Hernandez and the cherished sibling of David Hernandez, Robert Hernandez, and Melissa Castro.

Baby will be remembered for his radiant smile and joyful spirit. He had a natural gift for brightening even the darkest days, always knowing how to make those around him feel truly loved. A natural charmer with a magnetic personality, he was adored by many, but his heart belonged most to his nieces and nephews, who were his absolute pride and joy.

A legendary talent in the Orange County and California breakdancing scenes, Baby was known as one of the finest pop lockers of his time. He spent countless nights at Fullerton and Buena Park roller rinks mastering the art form during the height of the 1980s.

Baby spent most of his life in Fullerton, CA. He graduated from American Career College as an honor student and worked as a phlebotomist at a health clinic.

He was a devoted sports fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Angels, and San Antonio Spurs, and he enjoyed watching his favorite teams every chance he got. Dallas was by far his favorite—so much so that he named his only pet dog Dallas.

Above all, he was a devoted son. Whenever he visited, he would serenade his mama with a soulful rendition of My Girl, just to see her smile.

Baby is survived by his parents, Manuel and Maria; his siblings, David (with his wife Akemi), Melissa (with her husband Carlos), and Robert.; his nieces and nephews—David Jr. (with his wife Cindy), Marissa (with her husband Jose), Fabrizio, Jordan, Louie (with his wife Khanh), Allen (with his fiancée Lucy), Joshua, Lucas, Isabella, and Kevin; and his great-nieces and great-nephews—Annika, Annalee, Lorenna, Jailene, Delaney, and Dylan.

A memorial service will be held on March 18, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary, 902 N. Harbor Blvd., Fullerton, CA 92832.

A burial service will be held on March 19, 2026, at 10am at Loma Vista Memoria Park at 701 E. Bastanchury Rd., Fullerton, CA 92835.

Friends and family are invited to attend both services and share memories.
