

Cynthia Marie Vermiglio-Klement was born in Lynwood Ca on November 28, 1957. Her parents, Sam and Elena Vermiglio, had five children. Andrew, Josephine (Thompson), Cynthia, Mary (Whitney), and Salvatore. The family lived in a 2 bedroom house in Norwalk Ca, until 1970, when they moved to Cerritos. Cynthia attended Mayfair HS, and was active in Band and other extra curricular activities. Cynthia spent a summer in Holland as an exchange student after graduating in 1975. She held various jobs as a teen, started college, and was hired by Mitsubishi Bank in La Mirada in 1978. Cynthia enjoyed the banking industry, mastering nearly every aspect of branch operations before joining the Audit Department in the1980's. She subsequently worked her way up to Audit and Compliance Officer positions, for First Interstate Bank, Home Savings, and for the last 20 years for MUFG Union Bank. Cynthia loved dance, her mother was a flamenco dancer, but Cynthia's path led her to join a Middle Eastern "Belly" Dance Troupe "The Beledi Dancers", where she performed for 15 years. Cynthia married David Klement in 1983, they bought a home in La Mirada in 1986. Their three children Ryan, Vincent and Lauren (Eon), attended La Mirada schools where Cynthia was an active member of many school, church and civic organizations. These include: Beatitudes Parish Festival, La Mirada Middle & HS Band Boosters, and the La Mirada Symphony. Cynthia loved celebrating holidays and decorated her home throughout the year. She opened her home to family and friends hosting every imaginable event from birthdays to baby showers and weddings. She adored her son Ryan's wife Hartley, and their three children Judea (7) and the twins Sage & Shiloh (4). Just last month, she attended her daughter Lauren's wedding to Paul Eon, adoring their children Luke (7) and Silas (1). Cynthia was an exceptionally skilled cook, baker, candy maker, and event planner. Each Christmas she hosted family and friends often numbering 35+ people. She had an empathetic personality, and used her gifts of sensitivity and intuition to help many people. She created individually hand crafted resin art, and enjoyed her many friends in the craft fair community. She loved gardening and plants in her yard, having nearly 40 different rose varieties as well as fruit trees and berries. Cynthia was married to David for 38 years. A mother of three, grandmother of five, a cherished sister, cousin, aunt, neighbor & friend. She continues to be loved by all who knew her.
