

Yorba Linda resident Dwight R. Coltharp, Jr., 69, died of complications associated with a rare neurological disease, CBGD, November 12, 2012. A private graveside service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery at 9:45 a.m. officiated by Pastor Charles E. Lewis, brother-in-law, on November 19, 2012, followed by a memorial service at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary at 3:00 p.m. in Yorba Linda officiated by Pastor Charles S. Worthy, brother-in-law. Reception will follow immediately thereafter at the Coltharp residence, 17903 Joshua Drive, Yorba Linda, CA. Dwight was born in El Paso, Texas. He graduated high school in Rapid City, South Dakota and joined the Navy at 18 years of age. He served from 1961 to 1967. Dwight married the love of his life Judy Cummings on October 26, 1963. He had a deep faith and devotion to the many friends and family members whose lives have been profoundly touched by having had the privilege of knowing him. He was a Godly man who served the Lord and delighted in helping others. Dwight spent his life working in the construction industry until his retirement in September 2008 from Oltmans Construction Company in Whittier, California where he spent the last 22 years of his career. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed hiking and camping in the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, neighbor and friend. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Judy Coltharp of Yorba Linda, CA, daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jeff Reinking of Longwood, FL, son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Heather Coltharp of Brea, CA, daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Richard Sell of Yorba Linda, CA, father, Dwight R. Coltharp, Sr. of Wasilla AK, sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Charles Worthy of Wasilla, AK, and grandchildren including Kertis Abersold, Matthew Reinking, Molly Reinking, Dylan Coltharp, Austin Sell, Adam Sell and Jack Sell. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy E. Coltharp on July 16, 2007. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the Alzheimers Association or the American Red Cross.
