

Cook, Harlan Joseph, 83, passed away on June 11, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife, Abby (54 years) and children, Judi and Tom (Diane) and two grandchildren, Julia and Tommy. He was born in North Bloomfield, Ohio to Joseph and Lucile Krahl Cook and enjoyed growing up on the small family dairy farm. After graduating from Hiram College he served in the Navy during the Korean War. Then he went on to Case Institute of Technology in Cleveland where he earned his Masters and PhD. This was followed by a long career in the aerospace industry, working for several firms around the country. He finished his rewarding career at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing and retired at age 70. In addition, he enjoyed teaching an Evening Division math course at Fullerton Community College for many years. He was always busy with many projects. He enjoyed making most of our furniture and doing many home improvement projects and still found time for many activities with our children. His memorial service will be at 2 PM on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary in Yorba Linda. Then he will return to North Bloomfield, Ohio where burial will be at Brownwood Cemetery on a hill overlooking his old family farm.
