AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Helen Dolores Norleen

2 février 1949 – 5 janvier 2026
Avis de décès de Helen Dolores Norleen
AUX SOINS DE

McAulay & Wallace Mortuary

Helen Dolores Norleen was born on February 2, 1949, in Highland Park, Michigan. She passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, in Yorba Linda, California.

After leaving Michigan with her mother and several siblings, Helen lived briefly in Medford, Oregon, before settling in Yorba Linda, California. There, she made her home for more than 50 years, building a life rooted in consistency, service, and community.

Helen was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane Norleen; her father, Carl Arthur Norleen; and her brother, Garfield Norleen. She is survived by her 3 sisters, Bonny Corrigan, Sue Bazant, and Patty Johnson, and her brother, Larry Norleen, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who were deeply touched by her kindness.

The majority of Helen’s professional career was spent as a clerk with the North Orange County Courthouse in Fullerton, California, where she was known for her dedication and reliability. Outside of work, Helen was tender-hearted and extraordinarily generous, quietly contributing financial support to more nonprofit organizations than could ever be counted.

Helen also found great joy in volunteering every Wednesday at Bingo at the Yorba Linda Community Center. Through this weekly tradition, she formed close friendships that brought her laughter, purpose, and genuine happiness.

A lifelong and fiercely loyal baseball fan, Helen was devoted to the Anaheim Angels. Her love for the game went far beyond watching from the stands. She attended a Fantasy Baseball Camp in Florida, served on the Angels Booster Club, volunteered at Angel Stadium distributing giveaway items, and attended as many games as possible. Helen made it her personal mission to share her love of baseball with her nieces and nephews—taking them to games, teaching them how to keep score, and staying after to collect autographs from players and umpires alike.

Helen developed many friendships with Major League Baseball umpires and felt they were often underappreciated. To show her gratitude, she regularly stayed after games to deliver homemade treats, a simple but meaningful gesture that reflected her generous heart.

Helen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She would wish to be remembered not with sadness, but through acts of kindness and generosity toward others.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s honor may be made to Doctors Without Borders or Mercy Ships.

An open house style Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 21, 2026 from 2pm – 4pm at the Yorba Linda Community Center.
