

Henry “Hank “ Marquez of Buena park passed away March 13, 2020 at the age of 88. Born in Carpenteria, CA on July 3, 1931. His parents were Paublo and Felicia Marquez of Jalisco, Mexico. His early childhood was spent between the US and Mexico becoming fluent in Spanish. He attended Dorsey HS and Compton College. Hank went in the Army at an early age. He was very proud of being in a Parade Unit marching for General Patton and President Truman among others. Hank was an ambitious man always trying to better himself working 2 jobs most of his life. He was a licensed R.E. Agent & Broker, which led him into the next phase of his career. Retiring from McDonnell Douglas/Boeing after 38 years with the management position of R.E. Property Mgmt for the company. After retirement, Hank kept busy with R.E. he served 2 terms on the Orange County Grand Jury. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus (3rd & 4th degree) and the American Legion. Hank joined the historical Ancestral Research group “SHHAR” tracing his lineage back to Charlemagne. Hank is survived by his loving wife of 35 yrs, Joyce Marquez . His son and daughters; David Marquez, Patricia Goodin, Leslie Rivera and 5 Grandchildren. Stepchildren Darla Shipley and Darren Wickham and 6 grandchildren. His sister Gloria LaDoux, niece Michel LaDoux and nephew Father Greg Marquez of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Santa Ana, CA. Graveside service will be held 12 PM Mon. March 23 at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange.
