Kenneth Robert Starr

Kenneth “Kenny” Starr, 76, passed away August 10, 2022. Kenny is survived by Janet, his wife of 55 years, their five children (Jennifer Westrum, Kristi Cassar, Kenny Starr, Jess Starr, and Jana Estes), 15 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sister Karen De Luca of Darrington, WA, brother Dennis Starr of Red Bluff, CA.

Born & raised in Long Beach, Kenny loved the ocean, boating, and fishing.  His last fishing trip was to Catalina in July. The Starr family enjoyed many summer house-boating trips to Lake Shasta.

After graduating from high school, Kenny joined the Army National Guard, serving 7 years. He learned the HVAC trade from his father. Later he started his own company, Starr Air Conditioning. He taught his sons the trade and they ran their own HVAC companies. In 2014, Kenny merged his business with Kenny Jr.'s Home Comfort USA in Anaheim.

Kenny met Janet Hicks at the 1st Baptist Church, Buena Park, where they were married in 1967. They resided in Buena Park for 36 years, then relocated to Fullerton for the past 19 years.

Memorial service is August 27, at 1:00 PM at Wilshire Avenue Community Church in Fullerton.
