Matilda Walton

"Matilda" Matilda Harris Walton, age 69, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at home in Anaheim, California. Born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 23, 1946 to Jessie Atkins and Frank Harris. Matilda is survived by her daughter, Amber Murphy and son, Karriem Shaw; 2 sisters: Nadirah and Emma Louise; 2 brothers: Marvin and Hakim; 1 grandson, Trey. Matilda loved JESUS and God's word the bible. That's all she wanted to talk about. She had a deep faith in the promises of the bible and often shared them with family, friends and all of her associates on Facebook. Yes, Facebook! Matilda operated a huge ministry on Facebook reaching Christians in countries in Africa and the Middle East. Matilda loved to cook! She would often bake fresh bakery goods to share with her neighbors. In addition to being a great cook, Matilda was a great mom! She carried on a beautiful relationship with both of her children Karriem and Amber up until her death. As a final declaration, Matilda wanted her loved ones to remember her the following way: "Remember me as a spiritual minded person who loved the Lord Jesus Christ and had total faith in him and God's Eternal Promises of His Righteous Kingdom Come".
