

Michael J Iggy Gallo, teacher, writer, musician, man of God, son, brother, uncle, friend and beautiful soul, left us much too soon Sunday September 8th. Mike was born son of Genevieve and Victor Gallo April 22, 1967 in Anaheim California. Mike is survived by sisters Terry, Pam, Michelle, (Mary), brothers John, (David),(Richard), (Jim), nieces and nephews Jenna, (David), Cecilia, Catherine, Kevin, Erin,( J.P.), Daniel, Therese, Angie, Bradley, (Kaitlin), Noah, Thomas, Andrew, Blaine, Alyssa and Mason. Mike grew up in Anaheim where he attended Loara High school, playing football and wrestling, then moved on to Cal State Fullerton where he earned his masters in Education. Mike started his teaching profession at Hope Special Education school until he settled in to his position at Katella high school where he continued his illustrious 21 year career of educating. Mike found great joy in working closely with his students and fully embraced the opportunity of preparing them for their futures providing knowledge, wisdom , respect and life lessons. While teaching Mike also found time to coach football, tennis and wrestling. Mike loved playing guitar, piano, traveling, teaching , coaching, writing music and poetry, but most of all, he loved showing us all how live life to the fullest. His smile, laugh and positive outlook on life infected every person he came in contact with. His unique spirit touched all of our hearts and gave us an example of total selfless giving to better anothers life. Mike put everyone before himself. Even in his death he was thinking of others, pulling over to the side of the road making sure all were safe while he was suffering a heart attack in his car. Mike your physical being may have left this earth but your spirit, smile , laugh ,love and soul lives on in every one of our hearts. Your friends said it best, your heart was just too big for this small world. You will be missed but you will NEVER be forgotten. All our love to you, our sweet angel. Viewing Service will be held Thursday, September 19th 4p.m.- 8 p.m. at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary. 902 N. Harbor Blvd, Fullerton Ca. 92832. Funeral mass will be held Saturday, September 21st 10a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 717 N. Bradford Ave. Placentia Ca. 92870. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mike Gallo Foundation.
