Rachel Villegas, 80, of Chino, CA passed on to a new life in Gods hands, Sunday, 9/4/11, at her daughters home in Fullerton, CA. She is survived by her siblings, Guadalupe Ruiz , Pete Torres, Henry Torres, Frances Fatta, and Rebecca Collins; her children, Jess Villegas Jr., Michael Villegas, Lisa Garcia, Javier Villegas, and Rosemarie Monreal; her grandchildren, Nicolle Lewis, Danielle Villegas, Kenneth Huysman, Justin Villegas, Jessica Villegas, Christopher Huysman, and Hanna Villegas; and her great-grandchildren, Jackson Lewis and Dylan Lewis. Rachel was married to her one and only, Jess Villegas Sr. in 1950 at Queen of Angels Church in Los Angeles. Together they raised and guided their five children over their 60 years of marriage. As a young wife and mother, Rachels devotion to her church, St. Linus, in Norwalk, and to be close to her children, kept her involved with volunteering as Hot Lunch supervisor, and many other church related activities. As her children got older, she worked in Culinary Management for companies like Boeing, Bechtel, Luckys Mkts., and Montgomery Wards. The love for her family was one of Rachels most exceptional qualities. Rachel was a gracious, loving, and endearing woman and to those lives she touch she had a way of making them feel comfortable in her presence. A rosary will be said at 6 PM on Sunday, 9/11/11 at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary, Fullerton. The funeral will be held at 10 AM, Monday, 9/12/11, at St. Paul the Apostle, Chino Hills, CA and the burial will follow at 1:45 PM at the Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
