Robin Beth Newgent-Carlson

     It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear friend and sister, Robin Newgent-Carlson. Robin died on July 1st of heart failure. Her life was not as easy one, but it was a joyful journey all the same. She was born with cerebral palsy in August of 1955 to Robert and Tina Newgent. Nevertheless she became a college graduate with a bachelors degree in journalism From Cal State Fullerton.      Her first job was as a reporter for the Whittier Daily News. She later became a teacher in a Christian elementary school. Her faith was always a guiding light in her life. She was active in her church and it was often said of her that she had so many friends, they could fill up Angel stadium.      The greatest happiness she would ever know came to her in 1988 when she met and married fellow Christian, Paul Carlson. Together they traveled and explored life throughout their 23 year marriage.      Our friend Robin was an optimistic, vivacious and persevering soul all of her life and we will miss her so very much.      Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 27th at 3 PM at the First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton in room #190 North Campus.
