Roger Joseph Miller

Roger J. Miller, 81, entered eternal life on Feb. 8, 2012 at 7pm. He was survived by his loving wife, Dianne of 58 years; Sons, Dennis and Daniel; Daughters; Deborah, Mary Grace, Therese Ann and Margaret; And his brother Leroy. Roger was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.Roger had hobbies that included, the making of a Victorian doll house, for his granddaughters,And a 4 x 5 plywood train village, which included numerous buildings and a variety of track arrangements, for his grandsons.He enjoyed hiking and camping with the family and the boy scouts. Some of the hiking trips included, destinations to Mt Whitney, the High Sierras and Yosemite. Our Nimrod 1970 tent camper, gave his family fifteen years, of memorable trips to all of the Western States. His love of music was enjoyed by all. Many a night, Roger would sit on the stairs and lullaby the children to sleep, with his harmonica or concertina.Oh Suzanna and This old man were some of the many songs, he loved to play. Vigil service will held on Thursday Feb. 16 at 7pm at Beatitudes of Our Lord Catholic Church at 13013 S. Santa Gertrudes Ave. in La Mirada. A Memorial Mass will be held, Friday morning Feb. 17 at 10:30am at Beatitudes of Our Lord, with a Military burial immediately following at, Olive Lawn Memorial Park, in La Mirada.
