Sandy was born to Betty and Woodrow Odneal on June 10, 1941 in Kansas City, Kansas. Sandy met the love of her life, Bill Floyd, while riding a bus. It was love at first sight. Together, they built a home in Norwalk, CA and ultimately enjoyed 42 years of marital bliss. During this time Sandy supported a number of activities for her three girls, including camp fire girls, cheerleading, drill team, band and tennis.
She worked for the Social Security Administration for 20 years, a body of work that gave her great pride as it allowed her to help others.
After retirement, Sandy and Bill retired to Panama City Beach, Fla, where she ran the Edgewater Beach Resort Pro Shop, which allowed her to play tennis and golf every day. Aside from her family, Sandy loved traveling, watching the birds who visited her bird feeder, the beach and tennis. After moving back to Hemet, CA to be closer to her kids and grandkids, Sandy continued to enjoy tennis, attending and playing in tournaments with friends.
Sandy spent the last 10 years enjoying her time at the Brea Senior Center, where she quickly made new friends and took on roles that included party planning and ensuring donuts & coffee were available in the morning. She also enjoyed taking day trips and going to lunch with her friends.
Most recently, Sandy resided at Crescendo Senior Living in Placentia, CA. Sandy’s cheerful attitude, gorgeous blue eyes and bright smile will be missed by everyone who knew her. Sandy is survived by her 3 daughters, Kelley Fregoso (Vince-husband) from Yorba Linda, Tina Doctors (Jerry-husband) from Calabasas and Wendy Lewis (Dennis-husband) from Alabama.
