Tsurue "Linda" Harrison peacefully passed away in her sleep at her home of 60 years on April 13, 2025, surrounded by her children. She was born in Oita-Ken, Japan to Shichizou and Harue Takano. Linda worked as a waitress when she met her husband, who was serving in the Navy in Japan. They married in 1958 and subsequently relocated to Colorado in 1959 from Japan.
Linda was a devoted wife to the late Traverce "Tab" Harrison, who passed away in December 2023. Together, they shared 65 years of love and laughter, raising four children: Martha Harrison, Mark (Briana) Harrison, Rose Manning, and Heidi Dawkins. Her legacy endures through her eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who brought her joy. Linda took immense pride in her role as a mother and cherished the special bonds she cultivated with her grandchildren. She was a consistent source of wisdom, care, and unwavering support, guiding her family with warmth and compassion.
In addition to her immediate family, Linda held her nieces and nephews from Japan, Oregon, and Colorado close to her heart, nurturing those relationships with love. Her affection for her extended family was a testament to her generous spirit and enduring commitment to family.
Each morning, Linda and Tab enjoyed breakfast together in their backyard, savoring coffee and sweet rolls---a cherished ritual that reflected their deep connection. Beyond her immediate family, Linda was a dear friend and mentor to many, consistently offering kindness, wisdom and support to those around her. Her nurturing spirit and genuine love for others have left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.
In addition to being a loving wife, proud mother, and grandmother, as well as a born-again Christian, Linda found great joy in a variety of activities. She thoroughly enjoyed gardening, camping, participating in Girls' Day, crafting, playing cards, and attending family gatherings. Linda also had a love for bowling and traveling, with journeys that took her to Japan, Hawaii, Alaska, Turkey, Greece and Canada. One of her final wishes was to see the stunning Butchart Gardens in Canada before being called home to Heaven.
Above all, Linda will be remembered for her kind, sweet and loving nature. She touched the lives of many with her warmth and unwavering support, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
A private memorial service will be held at the home of her son, Mark and his wife Briana, to celebrate Linda's remarkable life.
