Arthur William Medlar

Arthur Medlar was born in White Plains, New York on February 6, 1933, to Ann Donnelly Medlar and Arthur Sheridan Medlar. He was the eldest of six children, Robert, Ann, Kathleen, Donald, and Patricia. He attended Yonkers public schools and received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson College. He married Theresa De Cola in 1959. They had three children. Arthur, Carole (Steve Carpenter), Margaret (Manuel Escandon), and five grandchildren, Rachel, Elisa, Manuel, Sophia, and Iris. He worked for IBM as a computer programmer. Arthur lived in Gaithersburg, Maryland for 55 years and recently moved to Austin, Texas.

A visitation for Arthur will be held Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749. A rosary will occur Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749. A funeral mass will occur Monday, February 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4800 Convict Hill Rd, Austin, TX 78749. A reception will occur Monday, February 5, 2024 at 11:15 AM at Arborview Apartments Circle C Ranch, 12100 Archeleta Blvd Austin, TX 78739.

Graveside Services will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906 on Monday, February 12, 2024 at 12:00PM.
