Donald Howard Suddath, Sr.

Mr. Donald Howard Suddath, Sr., 87 of Rockville, MD passed away at Village at Rockville on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.  He was the husband of 67 years of Mary Margaret Suddath.  Born on April 20, 1929 in Damascus, MD, he was a son of the late William Edgar and Sophie Alice Davis Suddath.  Donald was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army.  He was a member of American Legion Post 86 for 47 years. He was a past  Commander and was awarded “Man of the Year” during his time at Post 86.  In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Donald Howard Suddath, Jr. and a daughter, Lisa Lynn Young; three grandchildren, Mary Keister, Patti Mongold and Daniel Edward King; six great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by a sister, Shirley Wolford.  Friends may call at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM when a service will be held at 11:00 AM.  Interment to follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville, MD.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to American Legion Post 86, 2013 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD 20851.
