Dorothy Susan McCaslin Flynn, 91, passed away peacefully Friday, June 1, 2018, at her home in Rockville, MD. Born in Washington, DC, and raised Washington and Charlotte, NC, she was a proud graduate of Coolidge High School and the University of Maryland. A natural-born teacher, she remained in Maryland to teach and raise her family. She is survived by daughters Ellen Flynn (Ron) Giles and Betsy (Tom) James; sons Jamie (Lynn) and John; and her sister Mary McCaslin Everett. She is also survived by six grandchildren, JP(Carrie) Giles, Jack Giles, Alice Giles, Robert (Terryn) Giles, Amanda (Chris) Shaw, Rose (Eli) Fowler, Laura Flynn, Tommy Flynn, and four great-grandchildren. Her beloved husband, John Bernard Flynn, died in 2015.
