Eileen Mary Halvorsen

Eileen (affectionately known as “Leena”) was born on January 16th, 1970, in New York, NY at Jewish Memorial Hospital and was the first born of John and Eileen Halvorsen (Bila).

Eileen was a 1988 graduate of Seneca Valley High School. After high school, she continued her education at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Eileen was an avid New York Yankees fan, enjoyed music and loved to dance. Above all, Eileen’s life was defined by family. She was a loving daughter, a beloved sister, and a doting aunt. We will cherish memories of family vacations at the beach or the lake house, holiday celebrations, and other family gatherings. She will be sorely missed.

Eileen is survived by her mother Eileen Bila (Halvorsen) and John Bila; siblings John Halvorsen, Brian Bila, Kevin Bila and Brendan Bila; sisters-in-law Jennifer Bila, Sarah Halvorsen and Rosemary Bila; nephews and nieces Connor, Cooper, Charlotte, and Isabel. She was preceded in death by her father John Halvorsen.

Friends may call at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 E Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Mother Seton Catholic Church in Germantown, MD.
