With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our beloved George Quayson, affectionately known as "Uncle Joe," who departed this life on May 30, 2025, at the age of 56.

Uncle Joe arrived in the United States on January 16, 2025, filled with hope and excitement for a fresh start and new beginnings. His journey was just beginning, but his time here was unexpectedly cut short by cardiac arrest.

George was a man of immense warmth, joy, and compassion. Known for his big heart, especially toward children, he had a gift for making everyone feel seen and cherished. Whether it was through a kind word, a helping hand, or his ever-present smile, Uncle Joe left a mark on all who knew him.

His sudden passing has left our family heartbroken and deeply saddened. We will forever cherish his memory, his laughter, and the love he so freely gave.

Rest in peace, Uncle Joe. You are dearly missed, but your spirit will live on in our hearts.

A funeral service for George will be held at DeVol Funeral Home on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 6 PM until 8 PM. A graveside service will occur at Lashibi Funeral Home and Crematorium, Tema, Greater Accra.
