Gloria Lucy Miller

Gloria Lucy Miller, age 83, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 30, 1941, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Gloria lived a life full of compassion, joy, and dedication to her family and career.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dennis Miller, and her siblings, Mary Louise, Stanley, Victor, George, Raymond, and Fernando. Gloria is survived by her brother Michael and children Michelle (Michael) Bean, Cathy (Simon) Dionne, and Dennis Michael (Marlo) Miller. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Melissa, Michael, Christian, Samantha, Tyler, Sydney, and Brandon, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

Gloria was an accomplished nurse at Suburban Hospital, where she dedicated her career to caring for others. She could often be found dancing with friends at the Hollywood Ballroom and cherished spending time with her grandchildren and family, creating memories that will be treasured by those who loved her. Her warmth, strength, and love will forever be remembered by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

Family will receive friends at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 520 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at Richland Cemetery in Johnstown, PA.
