Jimmy Wilder Castillo

Born on September 26, 2003, in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Jimmy was the cherished son of Lucy and Jaime Castillo and the loving brother of Juan Castillo. From an early age, Jimmy was known for his outgoing spirit, contagious laughter, and endless energy. Whether he was spending time with friends or making others smile, he filled every room with warmth and positivity.

A proud graduate of 2022 Magruder High School, Jimmy continued his studies in Computer Science at Montgomery College while pursuing his passion as a day trader. His curiosity, dedication, and drive reflected his love for learning and his determination to build a successful future.

Jimmy was passionate about cars, movies, working out, and spending time with friends and family. He was known for his adventurous nature and his ability to motivate and uplift those around him. His dependability, humor, and genuine care for others left an unforgettable mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jimmy was an active member of the Pugarita karate community and was a parishioner in activities at St. John Neumann Church. He also enjoyed being part of the MSI League, where he built lasting friendships and shared his love of teamwork and sportsmanship.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Nurse Drew and Nurse Shelly from the University of Tennessee Medical Center for their exceptional care, compassion, and support during Jimmy’s time there. Your kindness and dedication brought comfort to both Jimmy and our family.

Friends and family may pay their respects at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 E Deer Park Dr, Gaithersburg, MD, on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9000 Warfield Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20882, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by burial at All Souls Cemetery, 11401 Brink Rd, Germantown, MD 20876.

Nuestro amado Jimmy Wilder Castillo, cuya brillante sonrisa y noble corazón tocaron a todos los que tuvieron el placer de conocerlo, falleció el 24 de octubre de 2025, a la edad de 22 años.

Nacido el 26 de septiembre de 2003 en Gaithersburg, Maryland, Jimmy fue el querido hijo de Lucy y Jaime Castillo y el amoroso hermano de Juan Castillo. Desde pequeño, se destacó por su espíritu alegre, su risa contagiosa y su energía inagotable. Ya fuera compartiendo tiempo con amigos o sacando sonrisas a los demás, llenaba cada espacio con calidez y positividad.

Orgulloso graduado de Magruder High School, promoción 2022, Jimmy continuó sus estudios en Ciencias de la Computación en Montgomery College, mientras perseguía su pasión como operador de bolsa (day trader). Su curiosidad, dedicación y empeño reflejaban su amor por el aprendizaje y su determinación por construir un futuro exitoso.

Jimmy sentía pasión por los autos, las películas, el ejercicio y pasar tiempo con sus amigos y familia. Era conocido por su espíritu aventurero y su capacidad para motivar y animar a quienes lo rodeaban. Su confiabilidad, sentido del humor y genuino interés por los demás dejaron una huella imborrable en todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo.

Jimmy fue un miembro activo de la comunidad de karate Pugarita y participaba en las actividades de la Iglesia San Juan Neumann. También disfrutaba ser parte de la Liga MSI, donde formó amistades duraderas y compartió su amor por el trabajo en equipo y el espíritu deportivo.

La familia desea expresar su más sincero agradecimiento a las enfermeras Drew y Shelly del University of Tennessee Medical Center por su excepcional atención, compasión y apoyo durante el tiempo que Jimmy estuvo allí.
