On Monday, March 10, 2025, God summoned Judith Ann McMillan to her eternal home. She was born on January 29, 1950, to Virginia Langley and Charles Robards. Raised by her paternal aunt, Emma Mae Robinson, and her husband, Walter Robinson, Judith enjoyed a happy childhood in Kentucky and Ohio. After graduating high school, Judith attended and graduated from Kent State University, where she excelled academically and made lifelong friends. While at Kent State, Judith dated and married Lloyd McMillan. Together, they raised three children. Faith in God, education, and service to others were closely held values that were taught in the home. Judith went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing from Bowie State University, where she would later teach, all while raising three active children and working full-time. Judith epitomized excellence in all of her endeavors. She loved her family, church, nursing, singing, and listening to music. She was a phenomenal baker and an accomplished registered nurse, holistic health practitioner, college professor, and nurse administrator for Montgomery County School Health Services.
Judith was predeceased by her parents and sister, Lisa Langley, and leaves to cherish her memory her children: Jermain McMillan, Nicole (Collin) Freebourne, and Monique McMillan-Jackson; siblings: Rita Bowman, Glenda Dixon, Joan Lisembee, Doris Hatchett, Crystal Ellis, and Ginny Sue Camp; Aunt Clara McClure; and a host of grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at The Salvation Army Worship Center, 20021 Aircraft Drive, Germantown, MD on April 6, 2025 at 2:30pm.
