Lee Shelhorse

When Lee was 18, he married the love of his life, Shirley (Schneider). He joined the Air Force for 4 years between 1952 and 1956. After returning home he worked as an installer for the telephone company until he retired.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, sister Helen Hunter, and his beloved wife Shirley Shelhorse. Lee is survived by his sister Alice Shelhorse, daughter Debra Gray, son Kenneth Shelhorse Sr (Tammy), daughter Paula Thewes (William) son Robert Shelhorse (Buddy); six grandchildren, Kenneth Shelhorse Jr (Amanda), Jessica Shelhorse (Mario), Nicole Orellana (Alex), Kristen Toussant (Danny), Tiffany Mathis (Erin), Julie Thewes; sixteen great grandkids, Jhostin Orellana, William Ramos, Violet Shelhorse, Gabby Orellana, Annabel Shelhorse, Nadia Shelhorse Gogonea, Brittany Orellana, Ellen Toussant, Joel Orellana, Isabelle Toussant, Daniel Shelhorse, Victoria Toussant, Rosalee Orellana, Jake Toussant, Theo Mathis, Genevieve Toussant, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation and service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD from 10:00am to 11:30pm followed by a luncheon starting around 12.00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Lee’s name to the American Cancer Society.
