María H. Tabares de González

On Saturday, January 21, 2023, María H. Tabares de González beloved wife of 67 years of Gerardo D. González; loving mother of Gloria González-Micklin, Patricia Trissler, Carlos Mario González (Sandra Valencia), Gerardo Alberto González (Mary E. Howley), Angela María González (Art Wilmot), Adriana María González (Aaron Morelli), passed away at home surrounded by three generations of family members, following a short courageous illness.

She was preceded by her parents, Vicente Antonio Tabares and Ana Julia Garcia, her sisters Aurora Tabares, Lucila Tabares, Bertha Tabares, Consuelo Tabares, and brother Hector Tabares, in Colombia.

She is also survived by her youngest sister, Martha Tabares, grandchildren Christian, Marisa and Alexander Pendleton; Brittany and Aly Trissler; Sebastian and Juliana González-Valencia; great grandchildren Kiera and Tristian Pendleton; Mikanszee and Mikal Dwayne Johnson; dozens of nieces, nephews, grand and great grandnieces and nephews.

Friends may call at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Dr., Gaithersburg, MD 20877 on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 520 Veirs Mill Rd., Rockville, MD 20852, on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 10:00 am. Interment All Souls Cemetery, Germantown. MD.
