Mario Antonio Delgado, age 51, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 30, 2022 after a long battle with Lupus.Mario was born on October 6, 1971 in Washington, DC. As a native Washingtonian Mario loved his city so much he never left. A graduate of The American University in Washington, DC, he also enjoyed traveling. His favorites spots being Key West and Puerto Rico.
For the past 18 years, Mario was the Director of Benefits at Sibley Memorial Hospital. He loved his job and loved helping people.Mario is survived by his parents, Rosa and Mariano Delgado, his sister, Martha-Lydia Hierl, his niece, Isabella Hierl, his nephews, Alexander and Eric Hierl, his brother-in-law Russell Hierl as well as additional extended family members and friends.
A visitation for Mario will be held on Tuesday, January 10th at 10 am – 1200 pm at The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament at 3630 Quesada Street NW Washington, DC 20015. Funeral mass will begin promptly at 1200.Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20906 at 2:00 p.m.
