Born on January 6, 1936, “Abu” as she was mostly known, lived a full vibrant and colorful life. She was a loving mother to her son Tavi Alvarez, whom she raised with dedication, love and grace.
Abu had a passion for feeding the wild birds and squirrels that visited her front and backyard. She would spend hours watching them flutter around and listening to their cheerful chirps.
She also took joy in spending time with her daughter-in law Shay, two grandchildren, Brian and Belinda and three great grandchildren Alicia, Evelyn, and Irene whom she adored with all her heart. She really enjoyed spending time together especially during Thanksgiving, Christmas and Birthday celebrations.
Although she is no longer with us, Abu's spirit will live on in our hearts and the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by her siblings and parents that passed away before her and the birds and squirrels she so cherished.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alicia’s name to the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County, AWLMC located on Park Avenue in Gaithersburg, MD.
