Mrs. Nancy Knight Murphy, 83 of Silver Spring, MD formerly of Richmond, VA and Easton, MD passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021. Born on February 10, 1938 in Bristol, CT, she was the daughter of the late Frederick C. and Lois H. Knight. She worked as a meeting planner with the Association of Medical Illustrators. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing many rounds with her husband. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Murphy.
Nancy is survived by a son, Joseph A. Murphy III and a daughter, Janet M. Dailey (Tim); two grandchildren, Maureen, and Andrew Dailey.
A memorial Mass will be held at Riderwood Chapel, 3110 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD 20904 on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 9 AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Casey House-Montgomery Hospice.
