Born on September 21, 1941, in Burma, Ohn lived a life defined by devotion, gratitude, and unwavering love for the people who filled his heart.
Ohn was a deeply loving husband to Teresita Estoque Myint, the love of his life. The two met while working at the World Bank, where a chance connection blossomed into a partnership grounded in mutual respect, joy, and enduring affection. Their marriage was a true testament to love that strengthens across time and circumstance.
He was preceded in death by his beloved sister Khin Toe Myint (Molly), whose memory he cherished always.
He is survived by his devoted wife Teresita, and his children: Mimi Pham (husband Tuan Pham), Timothy Zaw, and Maria Estoque. As a father, Ohn offered gentle guidance, steady encouragement, and a quiet pride that never needed grand gestures to be felt deeply.
Ohn shared a particularly special bond with his son-in-law, Tuan, who became not only family but a true second son to him.
Perhaps his most joyful and cherished role was that of grandfather. He adored his grandchildren—Emma, Alexandra, and Azriel—and lovingly embraced his grand-niece Alyssa as well. His granddaughters, especially, were the purest joys of his life, lighting up his world with every smile, story, and milestone. He was their biggest cheerleader, celebrating their accomplishments with unfiltered pride and delight. Their laughter renewed his spirit, and their presence filled his final years with immeasurable warmth.
Ohn’s legacy is woven from love, resilience, and family. He carried himself with quiet dignity, offered kindness without condition, and found joy in watching the generations after him grow and flourish. His heart was gentle, his humor soft, and his pride in his family was limitless.
In honoring his life, his family invites all who knew him to carry forward the same warmth, loyalty, and deep love he showed to those most dear. Though his physical presence has left this world, Ohn lives on—in his children, in his grandchildren, and in the memories of all who were loved by him.
He will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always remembered.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 10AM-12PM at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD.
