Rene Dawn Roach

Rene Roach finished her earthly life on the morning of September 22, 2022. She had been battling colo-rectal cancer since June of 2016. Throughout it all, Rene never complained, but just devoted herself to beating the disease. She became a veritable expert researcher and helped many people in the cancer community, sharing her knowledge from research and experience.

Rene was a mechanical engineer who became a full-time, stay at home mother raising her two kids until they hit middle school, upon which she returned to work.

Rene loved her family and friends. She loved parties and was the life of them. She loved visiting new places.

She was a devoted wife and mother and her loss has left a huge hole in the life of her family and friends. She will never be forgotten.

The family will welcome visitors at DeVol Funeral Home in Gaithersburg Maryland on Monday, September 26 from 2-4pm. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Tuesday, September 27th at Mother Seton Catholic Church in Germantown Maryland. Rene will be laid to rest in All Souls cemetery immediately following Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society.
