

Zoila “Aurora” Preciado was born in Lima, Peru, on July 20, 1933, preceded in death by her husband, Pedro “Antonio” Preciado, her parents, Artemio Melendez and Zoila Burgos, and her siblings, Alfonsina, Carlos, Lucho, Ramon, Olga, Rosa and Victor. She is survived by her children, Rosario Bell, Alexis [Ester] Preciado, and Dante [Patricia] Preciado; grandchildren, Giselle Amezquita [Rob Ruiz], Melissa [Ben] Robinson, Daniela Amezquita, Andrea Preciado, Isabel Preciado and Jayden Preciado, and great-grandchild, Rose Robinson. She is also survived by her late husband’s children, Marco [Cynthia] Preciado, Ana Preciado, Martha Morelli, and Carmen Gallardo, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Aurora was a superb cook who enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, traveling, shopping and watching novelas (soap operas), cooking shows and watching home shopping channels. She and her husband came to the USA in 1979 to start a new life and a bright future for their children and children’s children. A dedicated mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by everyone.
Friends may call at DeVol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 2 to 4 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Mother Seton Parish, 19951 Father Hurley Blvd., Germantown, MD 20874 on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11 am. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD.
