

He was born in Savannah, Ga., and was preceded in death by his son, Howard Mark Hodges, and his parents, Richard L. Hodges, Sr., and Leona Lanier Hodges.
He was retired from Savannah Sugar Refinery, having worked as a Millright.
He was a veteran, having served in the US Army, 165th Army National Guard, and he was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple. He was a member of the USO, the Chatham Artillery, and the Over the Sugar Hill Club.
He is survived by his wife, Anne Bea Fares Hodges, Guyton, Ga; son, Benjamin Everett Hodges, Jr., (Rita), of Guyton, Ga; daughter, Cecile Hodges Brazzell (Joey) of Ellabell, Ga; 2 brothers, Richard L. Hodges, Jr., (Barbara), and Daniel Hodges of Savannah, Ga; sister, Sue H. Smith of North Carolina; 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
Memorial Service: 1 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home & Crematory, with Rev. Kenneth Harrelson, officiating.
