Betty Jean Daley

Ms. Betty Jean Daley, age 79, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at her daughter’s residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was a native of Dublin, Georgia and lived in Statesboro a few years before moving to Savannah in the early 70’s. Ms. Daley worked many years for the Georgia Ports Authority and retired from the Cracker Barrel in 2001. She was preceded in death by her son, John C. Brown, and two daughters, Brenda Sue Brown and Deborah Jean Brown.

Survivors include her daughter, Pam (Kenneth) Sapp of Claxton, GA.; her grandchildren, Michael (Nicole) Brown, Kevin (Jill) Newman, Crystal (Darrel) Mohn, Kelly Newman, and John (Michele) Biggers; eight great grandchildren; five brothers; five sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held, Friday, January 9, 2015 from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel.

The funeral service will be held Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel with Rev. Kenny Harrelson officiating.

Interment will be at 2:00 P.M. at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Statesboro, GA.
