

He was retired from the US Army where he served for over 22 years. He was an original member of the F Troop 8th Calvary-Blue Ghost. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict where he earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and two Purple Hearts among his numerous awards and medals.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Fumiko (Nishimoto) Davis; daughter, Christine and her husband Scott Chambers of Millis, MA; three grandchildren, Kaya, Paige, and Carter; five siblings, Harry and his wife Kaye of Olive Branch, MS, Joyce and her husband Eddie Julian of Orlando, FL, Charlotte Whalen of Bloomfield, MO, Patricia and her husband MikeWhaley of Jackson, MO, Janet and her husband Lee Heise of Malden, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are being held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2013 at Fairhaven Funeral Home in Garden City. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Pt. Wentworth United Methodist Church with internment to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
