George was born in Savannah to the late Anne and Roland Grooms, Sr. He has been a resident of Bulloch County for the last 26 years. He loved to DJ and imitate Elvis. He was always the life of the party.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Denise Grooms; daughters, Melinda Jenkins, Dawn Dail, Tammy Grooms Kenyon, Peggy Tippett and Michelle Grooms; son, Randy McMullen; eighteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Fairhaven Funeral Home in Garden City.
Funeral services will be Monday, January 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Allan Bosson officiating.
Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah.
