George W Stevens

He was born in Fairbluff, North Carolina, and attended the Port Wentworth Christian Missionary Alliance Church.

He was retired from Ross Engineering Company, where he had worked as a Welder.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Allen Stevens of Port Wentworth, GA; son, John “Buddy” W. Stevens, (Denise) of Guyton, GA; daughter, Karen Hutchinson (Ronnie) of Bloomingdale, GA; 2 brothers, Wade Hampton Stevens (Vilaree) of Leland, N.C.; and Douglas McArthur Stevens, (Mary) of Thomasville, N.C.; 4 grandchildren, Alexis & Nicholas Stevens, and Ashley & Dustin Hutchinson.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Fairhaven Funeral Home.

Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of the Fairhaven Funeral Home, with Rev. John Smith, officiating.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens, in Springfield, Ga.
