She was a homemaker and “Mama Dukes” to a lot of children who came to her home and enjoyed NASCAR and the beach.
She is survived by her husband, Steven J. Gillis; a daughter, Krista Marie Gillis; 2 sons, Steven Anthony Gillis and Matthew John Gillis, a stepson Christopher Michael Dickinson and a granddaughter, Jordan Marie Dickinson. Kathy's parents are Joe and Anne Snead. She has 2 sisters, Lishia S. Bowers, and Frances S. (Alan) Strickland and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday June 9, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Alee Shrine Temple, Skidaway Road & Eisenberg Drive, Savannah Ga. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be sent to the Morris Slotin Fund, Alee Shrine Temple, P O Box 14147 , Savannah Ga 31416.
