Martha Anne Byrd

She was born to the late Thomas Noel & Emmons Kernodle Lowery, Dec. 10, 1934 in Days, MS. After a long employment with the State of Mississippi Insurance Commission, she moved to Savannah to be closer to her children and grandchildren. While living in Savannah she was employed by Johnny Harris’ Office. Her retirement was spent enjoying her grandchildren and antiquing.

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Noel & Emmon Kernodle Lowery, Samuel W. Neff (Stepfather), Lucretia Lee (Sister), and beloved grandson, James “Steven” Daniel.

Left to cherish the memory of the best mama ever are Anna Tompkins, Sam Tompkins (Michelle), Tommy Tompkins, and Mary Elizabeth Wetherly (John). Grandchildren: Frances Daniel-Abrams, Michael Andrews, Wesley Tompkins, Sammy Weatherly, and Savannah Anne Weatherly. Great-grandchildren: Christopher Abrams, Andrew Sullivan, Dylan Sullivan, & Micah Taylor. Sisters: Irene “Pooh” Jones and “Noel” Louise Mayburn.
