Mary G. Roper, age 93, died on December 6, 2012, at the Westview Nursing Home. She was born in Bulloch County, and lived most of her life in Port Wentworth. She was a homemaker, and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth, the WMU and the Lydia Sunday School Class.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Ambrose Roper, two brothers, Clifford Graham and Robert Graham, and a sister, Louise Eason.
Mary is survived by her three sons and a daughter-in-law, John Roper and Jesse Roper, and Steve and Linda Roper, and two grandsons, Joshua and Timothy Roper.
Visitation: 3 – 5 PM Sunday at the Fairhaven Funeral Home, Garden City, GA.
Funeral Services: 11:00 AM Monday at the Port Wentworth First Baptist Church.
Interment: Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Port Wentworth First Baptist Church in Mary’s name.
