Mrs. Mattie Dell Caldwell

Mattie Dell Caldwell, 83, of Rincon, passed away at her home on September 14, 2012, under the care of Odyssey Hospice. Mattie was born February 12, 1929 in Claxton, Georgia. She spent over 12 years working with Charter, and retired from Georgia Regional Hospital after 20 years of employment. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Rincon, Georgia. Mattie was an incredible person and was deeply devoted to her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Caldwell, son Harris Patrick, and her parents Sidney and Azzie Mae Saturday. She is survived by her daughters Jeannie Gilreath-Barron (Philip) of Savannah and Peggi Hendrix (Chuck Guynn) of Suffolk, Virginia, son David A. Patrick Sr. (Becky) of Rincon, ten grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10 – 11am on Monday, September 17 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory 2794 W. US Highway 80 in Garden City. Funeral Services will follow at 11am with Dr. Bob Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow at North Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
