

of complications of multiple illnesses, on Friday, August
14th, 2015. He was a long-time resident of Savannah, Georgia.
He attended Emit Grove Baptist Church of Statesboro,
Georgia, was a Savannah Policeman for several years. He also
worked at Crete Trucking Company, traveling the United
States, as well as Canada.
His passions were fishing, hunting, the wildlife, traveling,
and his children.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Laneth Hayslip
James, of Pooler, Georgia, and his daddy, Coye James, of
Savannah, Georgia.
He is survived by his son, Wendell James, of Raleigh, N.C.,
his daughter, Courtney James Hans, (Mike), also of Raleigh,
N.C., his granddaughter, Camryn, two sisters, Marie James
Banderas, of Pooler, Georgia, and Barbara Jean Martinez,
(Nelson), of Bettendorf, Iowa. He was also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The memorial service will be Friday, August 21, 2015 at
6:00 p.m. at the Fair Haven Funeral Home on Hwy 80, in
Garden City, Georgia. Burial will be private.
An account will be set up for the Wendell James, Sr. Memorial Fund at the Heritage Bank, Wal-Mart Highway 17, 6000 Ogeechee Road Savannah, Georgia. in lieu of flowers to help with funeral expenses.
