Daniel Thomas Carreon

Daniel Thomas Carreon a native Californian, was born on June 23, 1950 in Los Angeles, California to Yvonne and Phillipe Carreon. Although his time here with us was brief he was joyfully welcomed into the gates of heaven June 30, 2013 with his family surrounding his bedside. For 48 hours prior to his passing he was surrounded by love and attention. Not a moment passed without his wife, children, mother, sisters, brother, nieces and grandson whispering their love, appreciation and fond memories to him. It was a beautiful and transforming experience that cannot be expressed in words. .

Dan has been married the love of his life Judith (Harward) Carreon for 41 years. Together they were blessed with 8 beautiful children. He was patient and loving and taught his children right from wrong.

Dan worked hard to provide for his family. He was a practicing attorney for 33 years where he used his gifts to help people solve their problems. He was known by his clients and fellow attorneys to be honest and fair. His ability to work with opposing parties to come to a mutual and fair resolution was his strength

He lived his life guided by a well-defined set of beliefs. His faith and religion were important aspects of those beliefs. He was a member of St. Columban Catholic Church for many years before moving to Laguna Woods where he then became a member of St. Nicolas.

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Judy; children, Jennifer (Mike), Kristen (Chris), Danny (Dawn), Becky (Aaron), John, Bethany, Kayla (Jim) and Sara (Scott); 15 grandchildren; mother, Yvonne; siblings, Pat, Yvonne and Phyllis.

His beautiful smile and gentle spirit touched many lives and he will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
