Juana Eufemia Castaneda Sanchez

Juana Eufemia Castaneda Sanchez, a kind-hearted and wise soul, passed away on August 26, 2025, at the age of 84. A resident of Anaheim, California, Juana was cherished by all who knew her for her compassionate and resilient nature.

Born on August 8, 1941, in Guatemala City, Juana completed her education up to the 6th grade. Her early life was marked by a strong work ethic, as she mastered developing film in black and white and worked at the National Match Company separating wooden matches to be sold. Juana was also a dedicated homemaker, taking care of her home with love and diligence.

Juana's personal life was enriched by her beloved life partner, Manuel Martinez Mendoza, whom she met at a local park in Zona 2, Guatemala City. Together, they would raise 7 children and share a life filled with love and companionship.

In her leisure time, Juana enjoyed watching novelas and classic Mexican movies, finding joy and entertainment in their stories. Her personal qualities of honesty and compassion left a lasting legacy, as she always looked at the positive side of things and treated everyone with kindness, whether they were family or not. Her big heart, filled with unconditional love, wisdom, and unwavering support, is fondly remembered by those she left behind.

Juana is preceded by her sons; Manuel Martinez and Roberto Martinez, Husband; Manuel Martinez Mendoza, and her parents and siblings. She is survived by her daughters; Maria Martinez and Gloria Martinez, and Granddaughter; Maria Castellanos.

Juana Eufemia Castaneda Sanchez will be remembered as a beloved and cherished individual whose legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A visitation in her honor will be held at Dimond & Shannon Mortuary, located at 10630 Chapman Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840, US. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on September 19, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
